Curling up and enjoying an erotic, sensual experience is exactly what Allison’s books deliver. Lucky for us we were able to learn a little more about the author as well as her books in this interview. OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA
Zena: How old were you when you started writing?

Allison: I wrote in a diary forever. I loved English class in junior high school and always signed up for short story writing in high school. I sent my first short story to a magazine in high school but was rejected.

Zena: Who’s your favorite author? Why?

Allison: Only one? Impossible. My favorite depends on my mood. I was jealous of Laura Ingalls Wilder because my life seemed so boring and I couldn’t think of anything as exciting to write about. I have always loved (and been frightened by) Stephen King. When I’m looking for suspense, I turn to Sandra Brown. And if I just want to escape for awhile, I read Debbie Macomber.

Zena: What inspired your latest book(s)? ChristmasPastAndChristmasPresents_coversm

Allison: I never even considered writing erotic. Suspense and paranormal have (and probably always will be) been my first loves. I wrote a fun, creepy ghost story and couldn’t sell it. Someone asked to read it and it turned out she is an editor for an erotic publisher. She asked if I’d be interested in writing it. I tried it, and am enjoying it. It’s not as easy as people think. My 4th erotic, CHRISTMAS PAST AND CHRISTMAS PRESENTS was released December 2 and the 5th will also come out in December as part of Loose Id’s A GIFT OF THREE anthology.

Zena: How do you overcome writer’s block?

Allison: Sometimes it’s as simple as changing the music that I have playing or turning on the dryer for a sound of rhythm. I walk away when the words don’t come not matter what I try, and I do some other busy work with my hands, like cook something special.
Zena: What do you like most about being an author?
Allison: I like the control. I can create any world I want, any character I want. I can travel anywhere, do anything. My characters can be fearless and live lives I never can.
Zena: What do you like least?  AllieQuinn_AngelForChristmas_coverfr

Allison: The fact that I still need to keep my day job to pay my bills.

Zena: Tell us a little about your book(s)?

Allison: Writing as Allie Harrison, I have published paranormal and suspense–DREAM A DEADLY DREAM and DEAD RECKONING were Silhouette Shadows (Remember those?) In OUT OF THE 9781603947886STORM, THE SECRET SOCIETY, ELLIOT ROAD, NO FEAR and HIDE AND SEEK, you’ll find everything from ghosts to psychic vampires. (As well as true love and romance!)
As Allie Quinn, I’ve written erotic vampires (The Moonlight Assassins Series) as well as Christmas themes–AN ANGEL FOR CHRISTMAS, CHRISTMAS PAST AND CHRISTMAS PRESENTS, and THE NAUGHTY LIST (which is part of THE GIFT OF THREE anthology). Always there is love and romance and what I feel is a happy ending.ElliotRoad[1]
Zena: If you hadn’t been born in this century, when and where would you like to have lived? Why?
Allison: 1890 – 1910. The beginning of the 20th Century was filled with so many great inventions and so much industry and technology. I would have loved to see the Titantic and the first motor cars, light bulbs when ladies had tea. There was a kind of innocence that we have since lost.

Zena: Are you working on anything now?

Allison: The 3rd in my Moonlight Assassins Series. But there is always a story trying to work its way out.

Zena: Where can your book(s) be found for purchase?

Allison:
